Playing with animals is playing and learning at the same time
Turtles can live both on land and in water. Despite the name, a turtle is not a toad, but a reptile. It is pretty much omnivorous. Depending on the species, however, it is predominantly either herbivorous or carnivorous.
Wild turtles live in the Seychelles and the Galapagos Islands. They can weigh up to 417 kg and become 1.3 m long and can become very old. The oldest was shown approx. 176 years. Only very few people get that old.
Most children are fascinated by animals, and very curious to hear more about them.
Where are they found and what do they eat?
Playing with animals stimulates the imagination, is great for role play and the development of the child's social skills.
